Angel Pattern available

I haven't posted in a long time for a number of reasons, but with Christmas coming up my Christmas Angel pattern has been receiving a lot of attention so I wanted to post some information about it. The pattern is available directly from me via email or regular mail. It costs $10 and I can take payment by check or Paypal. The version with the blue border is called Lexa's Angel and is available on Craftsy.com. http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/quilting/home-decor/lexas-angel/33816 It is a little smaller than the Christmas Angel pattern.
By changing your fabric choices you can modify the pattern to work for any season or almost any occasion. I have done a spring version as well as a version with orange as an accent color, which I'm told is the color for leukemia.

It was just a matter of time

Spring Angel--Larkspur Lane Designs |
Let me be clear, I have no problem with someone using my designs for whatever reason they want, after purchasing my pattern, but designing is one of the ways I try to make a living and using my design without permission or purchasing a pattern is stealing.
I decided to send her a Paypal request for the price of my pattern and she has agreed to pay for it. This person has been very understanding about the situation but in her last email, she said she thought it was unfair that she should have to pay for something she found on the internet. I agree with her, it is unfair, but it is unfair to both of us. When I pinned my photo, I included a link to my blog and a little blurb about this being a pattern that is available for sale. When someone else pinned my photo I don't think they included that information. Please be fair when you are pinning someone else's photos or ideas. Give credit where credit is due.

Spring Angel Finished
My Spring Angel quilt is finished! I added a Swarovski crystal halo and heart-shaped yoyos to embellish her. The pattern is available directly from me for $10 and can be emailed or sent via regular mail.
I originally used this design to raise funds for my friend who was recovering from an accident with a drunk driver that took the life of her 7 year old daughter. With lots of help from Mary Beth Hartnett and her amazing staff at Quilters Corner, we were able to raise a substantial amount of money for my friend's family.

Spring Angel details added
I added blush to the angel cheeks and a crystal halo. I think a block of the month might be an interesting project using this block since there are so many wonderful fabrics out there to choose from! She could be done seasonally or for each holiday. I can see her with shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day or fall leaves for Autumn, seashells for Summer. So many possibilies! Thank goodness for my stash. I can hardly wait to get started. Now I have to decide whether to make one quilt or a seperate banner for each angel. What would you do?

Spring Angel
I just finished my first attempt at a Spring Angel except for blushing her cheeks. I like the fabrics but I'm not sure if there is enough contrast so I'm sure I'll make some more. In case anyone is wondering, this pattern is my original design and is available for sale if you want to make some of your own angels. The pattern sells for $10 and can be sent by email or regular mail. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment or email me at larkspurlanedesigns@yahoo.com
